Spring League Registration Now Open for 05U through 14U

After almost a year off, Region 17 will be having a spring season. The main objective is to get the kids playing out on the field with their friends. We are planning for an 8 to 10 week season beginning April 10 or 17. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis due to field space limitations and depending on the number of coaches available. Registration will close on March 26th. At this time, we only have access to Washington Elementary field, Adams field will not be available until the Middle Schools return to the classroom.

The Region Fee for the spring season is $80. AYSO charges an additional non-refundable Membership Fee of $20.00 each Membership Year (8/1 - 7/31) - if you did not register for the Fall 2020 season you will need to pay this fee as part of Spring registration. Sports Connect (previously Blue Sombrero) charges a $2.75 service fee on each transaction. There are no scholarships available for the spring season. Because there are still several unknowns, the format for the spring season could be different than past seasons. Our goal is for the 08U and above divisions to play games with other regions as we have done in prior years. If that is not an option, then our teams will scrimmage or play games within our region. 05U and 06U divisions will only play within our region. As of now we are unable to offer a program for 16U/19U.

If you can coach, referee, or would like to join the board, we need the help! Coaches and referees will be essential to a successful spring season. Board members are always needed and we have several positions available, including division commissioners and field monitors. For returning volunteers, ‘Sudden Cardiac Arrest’ is a new course which you will have to take in order to resume your volunteer activities.

A Sports Connect (previously Blue Sombrero) account is needed to register for AYSO.  You can create a new account here or access your existing account here. 

Instructions for registering with Sports Connect

• Register for a new Sports Connect account or login to your existing Sports Connect account

• Click the "Register Now!" button near the top right corner

• To add a player, click the "Add Another Participant" button and enter the player's gender, name, birthday, and address - if the player is new, you will also need to upload proof of age (birth certificate, passport, etc.)

• Click the "+Register" button for each player's division in the 2021 Spring Soccer section, then click Continue - make sure to select 2021 Spring Soccer, not another program

• Enter additional player information - only the questions marked with an asterisk (*) are required

• eSign the Registration Form for each player

  • Check the "I agree to use an electronic signature" box

  • Select the appropriate description (Parent/Guardian or Adult Player) and type your name in the signature box

  • Click the "Continue to Review" button

  • Review the completed form, then click the "Submit signed player registration" button

  • Once all Registration Forms have been eSigned, click Continue

• Click the "Signup" button for any positions you would like to volunteer for

  • Select the volunteer for this position, you can also add information for another volunteer by clicking the "Invite New Account User" button

  • Enter all required information for the volunteer

  • eSign the form following the eSign directions above

• Verify your registration summary and click Continue

• Enter your payment information and submit your registration

  • When registration is complete you will see an “Order Completed” window on the screen and receive an email confirmation - if you do not see these, please make sure you’ve completed the full payment process

  • If you are unable to pay by credit/debit card, you will not be able to go any further in Blue Sombrero - please contact the treasurer to arrange payment

Age Divisions

A player's division for the 2020 Membership Year (MY2020) which includes the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 seasons is determined based on their birth year:

Only the region fee can be refunded.  The AYSO Membership fee of $20.00 goes directly to AYSO National and is NON-REFUNDABLE. The AYSO Membership fee applies to all AYSO Programs in this Membership Year (MY2020), so it will not be charged again when registering for another MY2020 Program/Region. The Service Fee of $2.75 per Sports Connect transaction goes directly to Sports Connect and is also NON-REFUNDABLE.

A player may withdraw from Region 17 and request a refund by having the parent or guardian of the player send a written request via email to the Treasurer at treasurer@ayso17.org. All refund requests must be made directly to the treasurer.

On or After Mar 27, but Prior to Apr 10:
