Practice schedules and field layouts are now available

To keep our field permits due to Covid restrictions, the region is to have a field monitor at the field for all practices and games. At this time, we are requiring each team in u5 and above to sign up for at least 3 practice slots and 2 game slots.

Schedules for spring practice and games are now available, have a great season!

After almost a year off, AYSO Region 17 will be having a spring season. Registration will open by 3/7 and close on 3/26 for an 8 to 10 week season beginning April 10 or 17. Full details here.

Field space is reopening as allowed by LACDPH and RBUSD in the near future. Once all grades have returned for in-person learning at a school site, field space will be considered for external groups such as AYSO.

Region 17 will be offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors who qualify. Application forms can be found under Flyers and Forms or you can submit through google forms. All applications are due by April 30th. Please send any questions to asstregistrar@ayso17.org.

Update on the Fall soccer season from the RC's email sent last night. Given the current COVID-19 environment, the Fall Soccer season will be deferred meaning that it is very unlikely that the season will start at any time later this year. We are hoping to be able to conduct a season as soon as it is deemed safe to do so and realistically we believe the earliest opportunity will be in the January-March timeframe in 2021. At this point we have closed Fall registration and I will be sending a separate email (this weekend) to those families that have already registered for the Fall season.

Effectively immediately all Spring Season games and practices are postponed as Redondo Beach Unified School District has closed all of the fields through April 12th due to concerns regarding the Coronavirus. We will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate when the season could potentially be re-started.
